(Info4now, September 28, 2021)- Two overs remaining and enough runs to defend on the wicket of Abu Dhabi—KKR’s inability to take it in their favour must draw a critic’s attention. A good side Chennai and top level finisher of the game Jadeja toyed with the target. But a mathematician of cricketing equation would always go with Sunil Narine in the 19th over and an experienced like Russell in the last. As Kolkata are heading to KKR vs DC at Sharjah, they might go for a change.

Delhi Capital still to face a tough side in the second leg of IPL 2021. They are at the top and qualified for the playoffs and should be looking for an uncomfortable situation. Kolkata Knight Riders can approach that defence  and a good side like Delhi must accept that.

Preview of Match 41: KKR vs DC

Shikhar Dhawan has not been named in the Word T20 Squad of India and is just a little out of form. To justify his return in style, he should give Delhi a fantastic start. Prithvi Shaw played a match winning knock in the last meeting with KKR in India. He should be patient on the wicket as the opposition is extremely sensible with the ball. Shreyas Iyer in No. 3 is very busy with the rotation of strike. A calculated hitting on his part is that asset which every team wishes at that spot. Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer, two top class left-hand strikers of world cricket give the Capitals an unequal go in the middle. Still they are not at their best. Down the order Ashwin, Axar and Nortje can bat more than a tail ender.

With the introduction of two genuine fast bowlers, Delhi Capitals have everything to cheer on a slower surface. If a fast surface is a heaven for Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje, a comparatively stopping wicket is no less helpful for executing the task. Axar Patel has the capability to bowl straight rhythmically taking off a bit of spin. He might be the key bowler to test the right-hand batsmen of the opposition. Ravichandran Ashwin, a champion of all three formats of the game, needs no introduction.

For a change KKR can try someone like Kamalesh Nagarkoti or Shivam Mavi to replace the predictability of Prasidh Krishna. Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarty are consistent enough. If Andre Russell is not fit to make the playing XI, Ben Cutting or Shakib Al Hasan will take over his job.

It’s an important game for KKR and Morgan has to get back to his form. In the middle Dinesh Karthik and Morgan have to score with calculated escalation. Otherwise a good side like the Capitals will capitalize any crumbling in the middle.

Conclusions

Even being the shortest of the three grounds, Sharjah is witnessing low scoring contests. The pitch is slow, and both the spinners and the pacers will continue to have assistance from it. The game starts in the afternoon session and under the sun it’s an easy choice to bat first. Delhi Capitals will definitely start with a little bit of edge over KKR with better spirit in the camp.
