Info4now- Taking the charge of the shortest format of the game over the years, Brendon McCullum flies to England as the new coach of English Test Team and he had to change his brand of playing cricket. If it was his target to set England free of the fear of loss, the Day 4 of ENG vs NZ Test quite welcomes him.

Kane Williamson wins the toss and elects to bat. It was a good track to bat on, but a semi overcast condition allowed Jimmy Anderson to strike in quick times. As others join the swing king, New Zealand got bowled out in 132. In reaction it wasn’t a good start for England. Joe Root receives a wonderful reception as he comes to bat, but returns very early. With just 9 runs behind, the Kiwis had every chance to pile on runs in the second innings and force England to chase in the fourth innings of the contest.

As the top order fail, Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell add 190+ runs for the fifth wicket. But Veteran Stuart Broad picks centurion Daryl Mitchell with second new ball in hand and Jimmy Anderson traps a set Blundell before the wicket with a fantastic reverse angle onto his pad. New Zealand set a target of 277 for England and it was a fighting total in respect of current crumbling rhythm of English team.

Joe Root joins Ten Thousand Club: ENG vs NZ 1st Test, London

Disciplined pace attack again tests English top order. But the former captain Joe Root and the new one build a ninety runs partnership. Ben Foakes join Root and England close the Day 3 with below 70 to get. Ben Foakes was brilliant to accompany one of the greatest players of Test Cricket, as the latter reached his 26th hundred and 10000 runs in Day 4 morning pushing Tim Southee at deep mid wicket region. With no more wicket to lose, England got past the target before lunch and it was good start for McCullum and Stokes.
