(Info4now, April 22, 2022)– As we expected in the last preview, Kolkata Knight Riders didn’t go with much experiment in the last game and it’s the start of shuffling in KKR vs GT contest. KKR have got just seven games and they have to perform extremely well to establish themselves as one of the good sides of IPL 2022. So this is the game they go for massive changes and at the same time should be sensible in changing as they to face the table topper.

Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, are very comfortable on the table and might be all over a tentative Kolkata Knight Riders. They have problems with the top order. But a good middle order and a handful of fast bowling architects keep them above the others.

Preview: KKR vs GT Match 35, IPL 2022

Kolkata will probably rest Varun Chakaravarthy tomorrow at DY Patil Stadium and must bring a left-arm orthodox. So Anukul Roy may be an option to replace him. He can bowl and will play the role of a regular batsman. Nitish Rana should be given a bit of break and anyone from the bench to take his place. KKR must discuss with Venkatesh Iyer about his position and any hesitation with the batting order in this situation of the tournament is not right at all. It’s not right to send Sunil Narine at the start as the bowler can have the opportunity to set against such batsman.

As Russell Arnold is bowling at least two, then to bring Roy will not be a wrong decision. Tim Southee will replace Pay Cummins as he partnered Umesh better. Shivam Mavi will continue as the third pacer and Sunil Narine is in rhythm.

Hardik Pandya will be back fit to restore the middle order strength. But it’s how they can manage the top order niggle. Subhman Gill is in touch but it’s again his inconsistency that’s gripping him. Down the order Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan can bat and bat as the perfect finishers.

Gujarat are playing one frontline spinner Rashid Khan, as Rahul Tewatia can bowl taking it away from the right-handers. But which they rightly possess most importantly is the combo of three top class pacers. Mohammad Shami just got his rhythm in the last game and Lockie Ferguson is at home with his fitness. Alzarri Joseph will continue as the third seamer.

To Conclude

It’s a day game and the captains may start choosing to bat first. It’s very hot out there and not to field first is not a bad decision. As there is no chance of dew and the bowlers will have some spaces to bowl, the KKR vs GT contest might be an average scoring tight one.
