Kolkata (Info4Now)- While fighting corruption emerged from her own den, Mamata Banerjee was found riding an electronic motor cycle in protest of consistent rise in petrol price, and today, Election Commission of India is going to declare the schedule of upcoming poll in West Bengal along with other four states––Kerala, Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Assam.

Earlier, Mamata Banerjee, being a leader of TMC, dethroned the Left Government of Bengal in 2011 by a fair margin. She got back to power in 2016, but it was different from 2011. A visible vote percentage for BJP which was very rare in the context of Bengal politics emerged. It was because of Sarada scam came to light in 2013. People smelt rat in ruling govt and Left- Congress alliance won 70 seats among 294. Though for BJP it was just 3, they had enough impact on the poll to cheer.

In course of time, all over India, narrow politics over nationality cornered both the left and the Congress. People from every part of India responded well to such call for nationalism of Narendra Modi. And it becomes a problem for Trinamool Congress. On the one hand, a number of corruption issues like Sarada Scamp, Narad footage, Coal scamp and Amphan mismanagement are huge setbacks for Mamata govt, a strong anti-Modi campaign is also not working on the other. In 2019 Lok Sabha Election, BJP stormed into Bengal Politics with 18 seats among 42.

As BJP led Central Government is also in question in regard to numerous matters, economy being the main issue, it’s failure vs failure in West Bengal this poll. Though Communists and Congress have joined hands to fight both BJP and TMC, it’s getting decimated in West Bengal and might drop down more. Poor governance in the past and ideological differences in the front are in question.
