(Info4now)- With a miraculous turnaround England dominate two final days and register a terrific chase. England needed 119 runs on Day 5 to win the 5th IND vs ENG Test and level the series, and they mastered a historic chase with second new ball due. For McCullum, it was like he came, he saw and he conquered.

Ben Stokes wins the toss and elects to bowl straight away. It was semi overcast and there were chances of early strike. But as the game moved on, it looked different. There was very little bounce off the wet wicket and were less carries. Indian openers quickly recognized the movement off the seam and started scoring. But it was again Jimmy Anderson who took the responsibility of early strike. India bundled 98-5 and then a historic partnership between Jadeja and Pant lit up the stadium.

England started their bowling on Day 2 when it was 338-7. Broad and Anderson picked up the last three. India with the ball were fantastic and it was expected. With extra pace they hurried upon an unsettled top order and they were down to 84-5 in quick times. There was no Jadeja for England and had to stop trailing by huge 132.

India start their second innings against a quality bowling side. But what England lacked was the speed in the group. Besides, India were lucky to start under a clear sky. India conclude Day 3 at 125-3 with Pujara and Pant at the crease. With tight game plan, Ben Stokes tested Indian middle order with both his captaincy and own attack with the ball. As India got all out just under 250, England started hoping to chase 378.

As the English openers set the tone with a hundred runs partnership, India made a fantastic comeback after tea on Day 4. Root and Bairstow had a lot to do as England were 109-3 and they remained unbeaten with another 119 runs to chase on final Day. 23 overs for a new ball and they achieved the target before that. Even losing more sessions to India, England looked invincible in the final four sessions and that changed the game in favour of the host.
