IND vs AUS 2nd Test, Delhi: Preview

A still from 2020/21 BGT, ICC

(Info4now)- If the pitch of Firoj Shah Kotla is not prepared the previous way, Delhi’s pollution is something Team Cummins will not welcome at all. So the hindrance will be there and they have to concentrate on the game. India, on the other hand, should stick to their plan as IND vs AUS 2nd Test to start today.

Preview: IND vs AUS 1St Test, Delhi, Australia tour of India, 2023.

We expected either Ashton Agar or Mitchell Swepson in the last preview, but Australia had taken unnecessary steps to think ahead. I think, they will, this time, go straight away with Ashton Agar and Travis Head in place of Matt Reneshaw and Peter Hanscomb. Australia have no time left to thing right hand or left hand. Rather should continue with the best players and target Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja. They have to go to the pitch of the ball and have to take the risks of getting stumped.

Two right hand strikers in top six are very sound against off spin and can tackle Ashwin in the middle. Even though not very sharp against the good players of spin, Australia need Ashton Agar very badly to rein in the Indian right hand top order.

For India, it’s only the inclusion of Shreyas Iyer that to mention. Besides, there is nothing to worry if they believe in the commitments of Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara.

Conclusion

If there is a little bit of grass on the turf and the ball bounces comparatively low, we can witness one or two or more centuries in the second IND vs AUS Test. India will remain completely dominant over the opposition, but have enough chances that Australia are ready for a plan B.
